Our books - ‘The Adventures of Scout’

(Scroll down to listen to our audio books)

With no previous experience in the field (we prefer Maths over English), the3Engineers decided to write a set of fun rhyming children’s books that bring awareness to current environmental issues. However, trying to make our stories fun without the doom & gloom was going to be hard.

So, true to an ‘Engineer’ stereotype, we spent three months in book shops analysing rhyming patterns and book structures, in an attempt to find a formula which could be repeated!

The fruits of our labour have seen us create a series of fun rhyming books aligned to the UK national curriculum. They each have a clear fun message which children can understand, and they encourage readers to take positive action to help solve the problems which feature in each book. We hope you enjoy Scout’s adventures as much as we do, and welcome you to Join her team to help better the planet.

Scout discovers beaches are covered in rubbish! How is she going to help clean this mess up..?

Plastic On Our Beaches.

Scout arrived at the beach and wandered down to the shore,

when a pot scuttled past with an extremely large claw!

Scout knocked on the pot with a Tap! Tap! Tap!

and out came a crab with a Snap! Snap! Snap!

“Hey there crab, why the yoghurt pot?

Isn’t it sticky? isn’t it hot?”

Scout discovers bees are missing! So she heads off to investigate. Will she ‘bee’ able to find them..?

The Bees Are Missing.

Scout went outside, to rummage on her knees.

There were ants and spiders, but no sign of bees.

"Perhaps they're hiding in this tree,

I’ll give it a knock, and maybe we'll see.”

RAT-A-TAT-TAT!  "Gosh! What is that?!”

An object flew past so fast it looked smeared,

then suddenly out of nowhere, a hummingbird appeared!

Scout discovers animals are losing their habitats! What can she do to help rescue them..?

Endangered Animals.

Scout went into her garden, to look for some clues,

and found a tiny toolset, a hammer, and some screws.

Suddenly, woodchips starting flying with a Chop! Chop! Chop!

and down came some branches with a Plop! Plop! Plop!

At the base of the tree, stood a weird bearded bug,

all agitated, flustered and in need of a big hug.
